Just a thread of random small questions I have not deserving of a thread that I haven't been able to find an answer to by googling... I always have a lot of questions...
1. I have a can of shellac. I suppose it's diluted in ethanol (just alcohol, maybe denatured), and it's gotten kind of nasty and the finish it makes seems "dirtier", seems sort of coagulated. Could I make it like new again by filtering with a coffee filter? And maybe adding more ethanol? And thus, it would have no actual expiration date?
seems like the answer is no and i'd need shellac chips (or button lac.. ..) for longer shelf life..
