It's my favorite time of year to Dbar. You can just feel it in the air, and see it in the sky. The dew in the morning is hanging heavy. Before you know it it'll be frost.

Well, he came back and tried to get in the trash can of corn. The lid is still on but he got some corn out. I took these pics before we were rudely interrupted...

...all of a sudden Maggie haphazardly ran up the hill through the bushes... than Luck ran off. It seems the bear opened a yellow jacket's nest last night too, right next to the feeder. Both dogs got hit, both are OK. This is the first yellow jacket nest I've found this year. Usually I find at least a few and usually at least one gets me...but so far, not this year. I was fortunate enough to be far enough away to not get hit. Once they calm down a bit I'll pull the card from the camera to see who caused all this commotion.

You better be careful messing with those bears Pat.  You never know when you will find one in a bad mood.

It's the damn yellow jackets I'm afraid of. This young bear is just a goof ball.  ;)   This time of year Momma bears have run the young males off to prepare for the mating season. These young juveniles, like with all species, are the trouble makers, the ones that get into mischief.

Well, it wasn't Bozo. Probably his Mom. You can see this is a much bigger bear...

Thanks Derik.

Pat, that's a big bear.  If I had those on my property I'd be packing a 44 mag. anytime I left the woods.

We started putting up our stands today.  I grabbed the camera card while we were out.  I'm not sure what this guy was doing.  I guess he was feeling his oats.

Also got a young coyote sneaking by.  I'm hoping to get a shot at one this season.
