Osage take-down
« on: July 25, 2016, 07:23:16 pm »
Finally finished this one. Its been a Long Train Runnin', as the Doobs always say  8) I see things now I will do different next go-round. This was first shot at a 3 piece. It feels good knowing the riser is bullet proof and I can always whip out some new limbs no matter what happens to the current set.

The I-beam riser is purple heart sandwiched between Goncola Alves, held together with Uni-Bond 800.
The inserts, pins and screws all came from Binghams for just a few bucks and are held in with MT-13.
The limbs are osage billets I got from Clint, their sisters.....ohhh yahhh.
The skins are broad-banded water snakes, also from my half pint buddy, you just cant beat Clint when it comes to good buddies.
The tip overlays are purple heart as well.
The antler screw caps came from my buddy Adam in Canada, eh'.

As you can see the real beauty in this bow comes from the ingredients that were sent to me by all my friends.

69" ttt
13" riser
3" limb beds (single pin and screw)
50# @ 28.5"
