I'm hoping that little bit of weight will help keep any twist from  coming about.

Resurrecting this thread for greater justice.

Any news? It seems like an interesting project.

I'm watching this thread... and 50 staves worth of straight HHB in the forest nearby.

Finishing my trade bow and then I'm gonna get to it...I have a few bows on hold right now.  I'd like to hunt with this bow this fall!  So I better get my butt in gear!!

I shall be sitting here, posting away, as some sort of an annoying metaphorical whip! Just in case if you slip out of gear.

These kind of threads always die off. I wish more people would build the bows first, then post how it all went along with pictures.

Well I'm back at it with this stick.  I will post some progress pics tomorrow or Friday.  I haven't had as much time to work on bows lately...it's been fun making some shavings again.

I rushed the tiller on this one and greatly depreciated this bow.  Looking like the left inner limb is stiff to about midway out.  It's not a very straight piece of wood and has a little wiggle but the string tracks pretty good.  It has taken noticeable set.  It is being drawn to 55# at about 24" here

Is your tillering tree plumb? It's tough to tell what's going on there it could just be the wiggles in the limb? Looks like it's not far off. Cheers- Brendan

Right limb is a little flat in the middle. Looking good.
