Last weekend I was stuck out on the road and it rained more or less continuously all weekend. Since I didn't feel like standing out in the rain to work on my priority projects I had to find something to occupy my time. While inside the truckstop I noticed that they had some 50"x60" cheap fleece blankets. Now I must admit that I've always wanted a medieval styled wool hooded cloak. These blankets weren't quite big enough to make one my size, but they were big enough to make one for my youngest daughter and give my an idea what I need to do to make one for me out of wool blankets. So I went to cutting and stitching. No pattern, no measurements and only a rough plan. Here's how it turned out. The pics look like its uneven, but that is just because she doesn't have it on straight. 2 blankets, 2 abalone buttons, a couple scraps of buckskin , a needle and some thread and a couple hours produced this. It's a bit crude, but she loves it and hasn't taken it off since I gave it to her. So here it is. Thanks for lookin'! Josh
