Couple new mokotaugans in the works
« on: March 27, 2016, 08:41:12 pm »
The other day I finally had some time to myself to work on some tools.  I cut, bent and heat treated 3 mokotaugan blades and sawed out a half dozen handles

Carved down one of the handle blanks and cut out a tang sloy.  This is going to have a full bend for carving out spoons and nagens and has an extra long thumb ramp so I can experiment with using two hands for extra leverage.

Dry fit

I'm hoping to finish sharpening and mounting all three before my vacation this Thursday.
