Interesting point Simon. I actually recycled these takedown sleeves from a hickory backed cherry I was unhappy with. But I oriented the sleeves as you suggested on that one. I noticed that the sleeves would work themselves apart slowly. Not sure if it was from hanging the bow up or from shooting the bow. I havnt noticed that yet with the sleeves set this way.

That bow is sick man, sorry about the season's frustrations, makes next year's success that much sweeter, but I think I'd trade a successful season to be able to make bows like that!
