Another hunting knife.
« on: January 02, 2016, 08:31:01 pm »
Started this file knife awhile back, then lost it on the workbench. Found it the other day and felt like workin on it. It only took a little more filing to get the edge down then came the heat work.

Sanded the blade to 400 and used brown mallee burl for the scales. trying to teach myself how to tool leather, so the sheath work is still a little rough.

(Credit to KHalverson for the build along.)

"Sheath work is a little rough." HA! Looks fine from my vantage point.

Congrats on another very successful project.

looks good to me. I don't have the time or space to work on steel. I can do obsidian in the Museum.
