620 grain dogwood found at 50 yds.
25 yds farther we found him.
Did a skull mount on him.Lot of mass on his rack.
Angle of shot
Exciting hunt. Shot in the evening and found the next morning. Weighed 385 #'s.

That's a big a$$ deer, over 2x as big as our deer.
Nice shooting, Ed.

Thanks fellas. It was a little like shooting at a spring feeder calf.Son of a gun had 1.5" inch thick tallow on his hips.Shot him 10/16/15 so he had'nt been through quite all of the riggers of the rut yet even though he came in to my grunt.Good old liver shot.Actually short armed him in the draw and bet I did'nt hit him with more than 40 to 45 pounds at 20 yards. The angle of the shot got him.No blood trail with no exit of arrowhead.

Yea blackhawk. No such funny rules here yet in Iowa.Missouri it has to have 4 points on one side I think.Shoot a spike and put a doe tag on it.Shoot a doe with horns and put a doe tag on it.That's about as much as I know of these paticulars.
Yep he was hot to trot when he came in.Put a show on beating up some limbs about 80 feet away too before coming in.

Congratulations, 385# is a big deer even in Wisconsin where I live. Your deer outweighed the bear I shot this year by 200 lbs. Shooting a big, heavy buck (a hoss) is on my bucket list.

Nice deer Beadman, congrats. No doubt he was putting the hurt on the farm crops when he fed, must of eaten quite a few bushels of corn and soybeans to put on that kind weight.
