You must have got that, or got from someone that got it Robert Parker at Magnet Cove, AR. Far as I know, he's the only one that has truly knappable black Novaculite.
It looks great by the way

Thanks everyone, It was more of the integrity of the stone.
although it was 2" thick when I started.
It was pretty pricey but worth it.
Not sure of the vendor as I was"romanced by the stone"
I'll find out where it came from. I knapped a few more
