Fletchings are wrapped with yucca fiber thread
Fletching ends and point are binded with sinew and hide glue
I need to trim the fletching, seal the sinew and maybe do some decorations, not sure about the decs yet, but my recipient is out of town from what I gather and I don't have an address yet, so I might come up with something in the mean time.

I got a beautiful arrow today from Halfeye, What a looker. Did the point go from Utah to Michigan and back? Been busy helping the neighbor, I'll post a photo tomorrow.

Joe,
You are correct sir. That is indeed a Dan Hamblin head, one of my hunting points. The shaft is cedar heart wood (knife split) and rounded with a flint notch tool, deer sinew hafting, and Eastern turkey secondary feathers (full length) in the Eastern 2 fletch style. Hope you like it, sir.

I just got home from work and found this Beauty waiting for me!
What amazing color! Thanks Redhand for the trade arrow. I love it!
Can you tell me about what material went into making it?
Thanks!
I will finish mine this weekend and get it to the post on Monday.

I'm glad you like it Mountain Man.  The shaft is wild rose that straightened with heat, I used goose primaries for the fletchings, deer sinew wraps on the fletchings and point, I used red ochre for paint, the arrow head is red glass I got from the local pet store, and I sealed it all with tru oil.
