Lucky for me it doesnt take much osage to make a bow. This is gonna be what I call a ribbon bow, thin, wide, and having ribbon like curves.

Now I have reached a delima. Its a good looking bow. I drew it to 25# and heard it start to rip though I see no obvious damage yet. Do I break it to see where and hope I can fix it on its sister stave or keep it as a wall hanger?

Its a shame really, such is life. Very brittle wood. Makes me wonder how all these fence post bows survive?

I really think you can save that splinter. Run sum thin superglue intp splinter, quickly unstring, then wrap area with serving set in glue
