I helped Greg split the rest of it today. The hackberry split nice and clean. Thanks again Greg!

Got it all done today thanks to the guy in the picture below. Cody showed up with sledge and wedge in hand to tackle the tough stuff. He may look a little thin but that guy is strong and hard working, he's also very focused on the task and most importantly he has youth on his side. :)
We threw quite a few splits back into the reject pile do to flaws and poor quality, mostly osage. The hackberry was pretty darn nice, very clean and straight. I'm sure a percentage of the osage I piled in my shop from yesterdays work will also be poor but there are also some gooding looking prospects in the pile.
Next time I am offered some wood from a tree service I think I'll be a little more selective on what I mark for them to leave behind. I'll also be a little more inclined to keep my ambitions in check and error on the side of smaller amounts. ;)
Thanks  again for saving me from another day of muscle pain Cody.
I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.

Nice work fellers! Looks like enough to keep you two yahoos busy for a year or so.
