good hog and javelina hunting
« on: January 06, 2008, 08:13:31 pm »
I am looking for a good place to hunt hogs and javelina in Texas that is reasonably priced.  Has anyone had a good experience recently and can recommend a ranch or outfitter?

I just got an E/M from Barry Wensel the other day. They still have a few vacancies for their hunts in Texas this year.

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

I hunted with the Wensels last year and had a good time. I am headed out this Feb to hunt with Curtis Kellar of 7th age bowhunting. I have heard nothing but good things about his operation, and he has more dates available than Gene and Barry. You can check him out at http://www.cdkellar.com/.

Just to hear Gene and Barry tell stories around the campfire is worth the trip though..... Here is a few pics from last year.

Wow, sounds like fun. I know for a fact that West Texas is beautiful this time of the year. Can't wait for a chance to go on a hog hunt.   Kenneth
