Apologies: don't come around as much as I'd like. Anyway.....
Been home from work chipping on rocks and finally built one of those sollberger contraptions. It works great but these are pretty much hail Mary's. Need to bop out lots more and fine tune this process. Very interesting.

Nice display of your work there, Paul. I've used a jig only once a couple years ago and, you're right, the flute is not a foregone conclusion. Your success is a credit to your skills. Glad to see you posting again!

Well, there's a reason you were crowned the Thunder Chert King I at the Classic
. It was an epic day in History when you were crowned the First. I'm glad to see you getting some free time chippin', Bud.

Paul: I have a collection of Sollberger fluted points he gave me many years ago. I also have a copy of a two hour video showing MAKING FLUTE POINTS WITH THE SOLLBERGER JIG by Woody Blackwell. Some where in my shop I have a jig that I never assembled. I used to send him elk and moose antlers and he would send me points. He sent me a bunch of hand written notes on his work and to tell the truth those notes are a little too complicated for me to understand. Looks like you have it figured out. I finally sold my pipeline welding machine and that was hard to do but at least I don't have to go around fixing the neighbor's problems! Always appreciate your posts! Joe

Outstanding! I'm too chicken to attempt that point. Great to see points from you again.

Thanks guys! I love learning so this has been fun so far.
Eddie, man that was quite the honor and a very fine memory
.
Joe; that is very interesting! Sounds like you've got some authentic, original, heirloom pieces to hold onto there. I'd like to come up there and dig around in your barn sometime, ha.

Nice looking blades. I had the pleasure of watching Woody demonstrate the jig quite a while back.
