Sweet bow!
"The way of heaven is like the bending of a bow-
the upper part is pressed down,
the lower part is raised up,
the part that has too much is reduced,
the part that has too little is increased."

Aye I bet that one was fun  ;)
Try using white spirit to dilute it down and then strain the bits out.  :)

It was past lumpy last time I used it.

Got a great tip from my local gunsmiths. He said only put a pin-prick in the inner bottle cap and then squeeze out as much as needed each time. I think this is the key. Guy has been repairing gunstocks for 60 years :)

Looks like you managed to get a good bend out of it !
well done!
Hope you did not loose that arrow,  it could get disastrous.

That looks beautiful mate, well done! Leave it without a handle, much cooler that way!

Really fine work!

Thanks slimbob, Matt,

Toomany knots, yeah horn always looks good with yew. Just used my last bits so need to sort some more.

Thanks lost arrow, Jawge, Nathan. Nathan we need to get some time to play bow making this summer.

Dell you cant beat that colour combo on yew. Will be much nicer ones its seen some sun and darkened a bit.

Thanks Ohma2,

Buckeye Guy, yeah gotta put the lid back on lol, its not cheap over here too, £6 fora tiny bottle.

Thanks Cameroo, toomanyknots,

Buckeye yeah the arrow at best would be straight through my glass door, at worse hit the gas bottle and blow me and the dog into thafter life.

THanks Wills, not idea about a handle yet but will probably leave it, others to build :)

MIsslemaster, Shamusrobert thanks. I think this tip will definately pay off.

IdahoMatt, I would have liked to thin the tips out more and change the tiller a bit but every where I looked it was just more knots and problems, any thinner and I would be cutting into a load of them :(

Hope i didnt miss anyone, was kinda rushed yesterday with the boy producing enough snot to open a small factory.

Very nice piece of yew.  Tiller looks great to me.
