all wood lams
« on: March 15, 2014, 06:33:17 pm »
From what I can tell this guy is making all wood bows....could be wrong...but that's my take. I have been doing the same for a while, and though it is not primitive, it is another way to make bows.

The link I am going to put up is NOT to a commercial site , but he does have a link to his site from there....your choice to click on it. ;)

This is what a lot of us are doing lately.  He is using a taper sled, most FG bows are built using tapered lams. He is using all wood.

I've been playing about with tapered lams and well it's a bit like wood engineering! To each his own  ;)
His sander is a bit heath Robinson  ;D
