R/D Osage w/copperheads
« on: March 03, 2014, 04:48:51 pm »
I've been foolin around with some different r/d shapes on Osage selfbows for the last couple months. This is the fifth and my favorite so far. I built this bow with one thing in mind. Deer killin!  >:D Its from a very dark set of matched billets I've been holding onto for a while now. I'd say it's  some of the most beautiful Osage I've ever run across! So I decided after shooting the bow in for a week or so that it shot so well I would have to put a killer set of skins on it and make it my #1 hunting bow for next year :) I talked my wife into going outside and taking a couple pics for me so I could share it with you folks :) thanks fer lookin!   :o

64" NtN with the bottom limb 2" shorter
42#@28"
1 1/2" to mid-limb then tapering to 1/2" nocks
3" Fades
Horn tip overlays
10 strand D97 string

Hey hey Mr Will! That's a slick bow. I like the looks of a "longer" R/D. Nice work.

Will, that bow is one of the coolest R/D bows I've seen on this site. The strung and unstrung looks gorgeous and I'm a sucker for osage and copper heads. I think the coloer scheme was made for each other.  Danny
