Finally!

Well, third time seems to be a charm. I got her to my draw weight of 45# at a length of 28" without her blowing up in my face. I think my tiller looks pretty good. Anyone see any problems?

You have a bad hinge at mid limb on the right and need to get the first 6" out of the fade working on the left limb.

Do you have a pic of a braced profile.  If you look you should have a bit more set in the mid limb on the right.  If you monitor the set as you tiller it will tell you if there is a spot that is a little more stressed .  You should think about getting a tillering gizmo.  Congrats on getting one not to blow up.  Remember it better to have a well tillered bow that is underweight  than a heavy bow that is out of tiller.  Keep it up you are almost there

Congradulations on your shooter!  That's awesome!  Go out and enjoy shooting it!  Next time take a six inch thin board and run it along the belly.  Look at the gap between it and the bow.  It should remain pretty much even as you slide it along.  If you do this you will see the less than ideal areas of the current bow.  But all bows have less than ideal areas.  We all strive to make a better more efficient bow next time.  Of course the perfect bow never comes.  Congradulations, enjoy your bow!  Welcome to the addiction, I mean passion.

Thanks guys. I'll work on it some more tomorrow. I can see the spots that need attention now that another set of eyes have pointed them out. As far as tillering, I just used a surform rasp. I guess I'll look into one of those tillering gizmos.

Do you have a scraper?  If not you should really get one of those too.  It is one of my most used tool.  Very easy to make and you will love how they make curls

Surform rasp is much too aggressive for tillering, I've hinged a bow with it when I was impatient. Use a knife held at a 90 degree angle as a scraper.

Good work for a third try -  and good advice from the guys.
I cannot see the pics with full draw on tillereing sticks - that takes long seconds to take the pic and that can damage the bow ...

Getting close...... A 3" folding knife is all I've used as a scraper like TacFate says. You can even slightly hollow the limb (like Simson does) with the tip or use the flatter edge toward the handle - held 90 degrees to the work.
