Outstanding work!  Could you offer some details as to techique?  type of paint/dye, brushes, etc.?  Not trying to get at any secrets but that kind of detail is inspirational!  Thanks

Smoke, the paints were all just artist acrylics and the base coats on three of the bows was a color wash using acrylic glazing medium in attempt to make the backround look like old leather. Hard to explain how to do it but basically you
lay down one solid color then blot on one or more other colors mixed with the glaze and manipulate those with a very soft brush moving them around to get the effect you like. I always finish with a few coats of clear finish to protect over everything.

I always look for painted stuff on your bows when you post one. I really like the way you do that. Cool painted backs, I've done a similarly dotted thing on my very first bow and I remember it took some patience and persistence.
What I like best about the display bow is how the handle is tied, with the beads and the string flaring out.
