Again, thanks to all who had the kind words.

Wow, Doobwah!  That is an impressive set, bow and archeress!

Please get everything in order for entering that into bow of the month!
Thought about this. I wouldn't trade this bow for any of the BOM's.
That being said, I know I am not near half the bowyer that many people here are and wouldn't enter this bow as BOM for that reason and that both bows are already very special anyway.
But who knows, someday I may reach the level for a BOM... >:D >:D...hmmmm

Yeah, we do some rough housing and she's pretty tough I guess. I kinda like the method a friend of mine told me about. "Ask the kids name at the door and write with a sharpie on a shotgun shell, then put it on the mantle."

That made me choke on my tea  ;D ;D ;D

Yeah, I thought it was funny before I had a daughter, now it's a serious option  >:D

Really sweet bow and a happy young 'un.
I've just showed a friend how to make a bow for his sons christmas present. It'll be fun watching him shoot it, kids just love bows.

OH yeah, pretty amazing what a little sliver of this yella stuf can do. I didn't think I was ever gonna get the weight down to a kids bow. Not my usual problem.

Sweet job man!
Ive been having a lot of fun building bows for kids lately also.....and it is tricky getting the weight LOW enough.
Keep 'em coming.

You are an artist at these little bows, wow.
"The way of heaven is like the bending of a bow-
the upper part is pressed down,
the lower part is raised up,
the part that has too much is reduced,
the part that has too little is increased."

Great little bow... she looks really proud
My 'little girl' asked me for a bow the other week.... she's gettin' married next year.... hmmmm.
She can shoot the pick of mine any time so I'm not quite sure why she want's one.

Those are very nice bows.  She looks proud.
And that carving is way cool.  Did you do that?
"The bow is the old first lyre,
the mono chord, the initial rune of fine art
The humanities grew out from archery as a flower from a seed
No sooner did the soft, sweet note of the bow-string charm the ear of genius than music was born, and from music came poetry and painting and..." Maurice Thompso

nice work and love all the details, kids will like that too.
alot more fancy and colorful than the bent hackberry stick I made my grandson
when i'm working on things my ancestors worked, singing the songs my ancestors sang, dancing the same dances, speaking the same language, only then  I feel connected to the land, THIS land, where my ancestors walked for thousands of years...

That looks perfect for the young lady. My 5 y/o granddaughter picked up shooting a bow very quick. I bet those two would have a blast together flinging arrows.

Very cool doobie!  Those little bows can be a booger to tiller and you handled them like a pro.  I think your skill level is improving a lot faster than you realize.  It would be a shame for you to hold those back from the voters.  Nicely done Sir, very nicely done! Josh
