Playing with Osage alittle
« on: August 08, 2013, 10:02:26 pm »
Took this little split off to play around with it the tiny little bow is 34 inchs long being drawn to 22 inchs again this is not a serious bow just playing around I'm guessing 40# at 22 inchs but don't see a reason to weight it really

Here in a little while I'm gonna draw it Til it breaks And get a pic

Osage is one awesome wood but be careful!!  A pic with wood sticking in your neck may not be good for your health

Is that the neutral plain in there?   :D
You got a good bend from that piece of osage. With a little sinew and upturned tips it could have been a killer bow.

What does the early growth rings look like? Thick or thin? How is the ratio between early and late rings?  Inquireing minds want to know!  ;)
