i wanted to warn you guys in case none of you have tried this yet- red oak+ vinegar+steel wool= black wood. it looks wicked awesome though.
i will post pics of the bow once i seal it w/ urathane.

What color were you expecting?
Vinegar and steel wool (AKA vinegaroon) are commonly used as a black dye for leather as well.
