Set of pine arrows
« on: July 17, 2013, 10:50:31 pm »
Her is 12 pine arrows I made using my dowel cutter. Glue on nocks and points 125gr points. Fletchings are 4 inch secondary turkey feathers. Made these for a nephews friend just to have arrows to shoot. They all fly straight and are spined within 10 of each other.

Another nice batch, Scott. I got my dowel cutter in over a month ago and still have not had a chance to use it. I got some loose grained pine boards cut to length, but not ripped, yet. I was at a construction site yesterday where they were putting in pine wood flooring. They had a pile of scraps out back of some arrow length pieces with perfectly straight grain. It was 1/2 inch thick and perfect for use with the dowel cutter. I was too far behind to ask if I could have them and collect them. It was tough to walk off and leave them laying in a burn pile. :'(
