Hello everyone.  I'm working on a project but don't want to say anything incase I can't deliver.  But what I will say is that it is me practiceing my woodwork and bushcraft skills. This will be my biggest project yet. So until I upload pictures (probably tonight) it will remain a secret ;)

Are you making a racing buggy for your pet unicorn?  Or maybe a giant crossbow to kill the fire breathing dragon that lives in the forest behind your house?
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

ok here are the pics, the first pics show my steaming setup for steaming the 2 meter length of Pine, feel free to steal it for steaming staves  ;D

here is the wood inside the pipe that im using to steam it.

the pipe is held in my old work-bench and supported at the angle by a scrap piece of pine

the other end of the pipe is in an empty BBQ full of water. then i put tin foil over it which directed the steam into the pipe  :D

there is coal under it to heat it up

after 2 hours i took it out and put it along two logs. then i placed paving slabs on top of it to give it some bend.

that is the main piece then i got out my tablesaw and started cutting thin strips of pine. more difficult than it sounds.

here are all the thin strips.

would love to hear some guesses as to what you think it is >:D after the next 2 seps it's going to be pretty obvious.

I don't have a clue what you are making either. But I do like your steaming setup. What is your steaming pipe made of? It looks like copper, but from the barbs on the end were it was cut, it looks more like some kind of plastic material.

Your building a live trap to catch that wild imaginary fox that bit your arm and caused you to get imaginary stitches a few months ago:)

thanks, it's just plain regular pipe that's used for drains.

When people ask "why didn't you do that the first time" you can be sure that they  have never made a bow before.
