The front and back are antelope while the arms,fringe,and bib are whitetail.Beadwork is done using nemo thread with a no.12 sharps needle and no.10 seed beads..Never going through the leather itself but just partway.No thread on backside whatsoever.Brain tan is so tough you can do that.In the olden days a sharpened bone awl or something like that was poked through the leather then the hardened end of sinew was poked through the hole.The rest of the sinew is kept moistened & pulled tight.A stitch with that stuff really sucks the seam tight as you can imagine.Lots of times a person can bead up a piece of leather then sew it to the garment.
