Very nice Bill. Those skins and tip overlays really pop against that osage, glad you caught the splinter in time to save her.
I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.

I love a good recurve. Nice bow dancing bear!

Gut I think his lower limb may be shorter giving that illusion. Nto sure though.

Beautiful bow, very nicely finished!!  Some journey to get there but the end result is stunning!

wow really appreciate all the comments.....wasn't expecting that.

Hedgeapple having your outing again would be great. and I'll come prepared this time.

Pearl and Gut,  I think it just looks like that in the pic,  the bending portion of the limbs are equal.  the bow's true center is 1 1/2" below the arrow pass with a 4" handle in total, and a very short fade (1 1/2") on the bottom.  The top has a very long fade which I think makes the limb look longer, but the bending limbs are the same length.  I've been struggling with the handle layout ever since the first bow.  I also my need to adjust where I attach the hook when tillering on the tree.  I my be doing something wrong when I pull from the center of the bow when tillering and when I shoot split finger with the arrow pass 1 1/2" above true bow center.  Maybe it matters more than I think?? Any comments? please.

Again thanks!

deer antler over Madagascar ebony.  The ebony is real oily wood and needs a sizing coat of superglue before you glue it or even add your finish.

Nice bow and finish on your bow.A discussion of tillering tree methods was made a while back as to where to pull on the string as you look at the bend of your limbs. It was started by Roy.You'd have to scroll back a ways to find it.
