Repairing a hing in my limb
« on: March 29, 2013, 11:41:56 am »
Hi all,
I am new to bowyering, I have a been working and a bow that is 48" long sinew backed made from a osage stave. I remember reading somewhere that if you add flax or something like that to the belly it will help strengthen the limb and repair the hing.
Does anyone know how to do this or another method besides weakening the other parts of the limb it match the hing.
Thanks

normally you would post this in bows, and you will need to post pics to get some good advice, without pics it's all just quessing
failure is an option, everyone fails, it's how you handle it that matters.
