I think I see what you're looking at now, I think it's the gambles oak in the handle. It's the bottom piece in the handle. ;)

The Jatoba I bought from a local hardwood supplier, they had maybe five 12' boards left. I think it cost me 45-50 dollars for one and I will get 16 bows from it. The bamboo I purchased from a fellow bowyer. The gambles oak was the cut off from a previous bow and the same with the black walnut.
