blacksmith knife

just finished this one up
started its life as a ford coil spring
forged 90% to shape
all work was done with a hammer,chisel,files and sand paper
no power tools.
8 in o.a.l 3.5 blade
hot vinegar patina

Certainly a workable knife.  Nice.

That looks great!  Is the "$50 Knife Shop" a good book?  I've wanted to read it, but I'm afraid of getting sucked into another hobby.

big pappa  i hadnt planned on it  but either jute cord or a para cord wrap would be cool
adam  the $50 knife shop is a great book

Oh yeah, it would look sweet! I would vote for a using a flemish bowstring to wrap it with. That would be fitting!

the knife is fantastic, did you think about doing a sort of tongue and groove handle,with two halfs one fitting through the handles middle to
sit into the other handle piece
The arrow loosed, the fletching goose
the flight is long and high
it sails away and goes astray
never again to be spied
