Talk about cool!
« on: March 02, 2013, 08:30:24 am »
I volunteered to possibly make up for a Christmas exchange that went south. I made a hickory bow for the person and waited for my que. Turns out everything went well with the gift exchange and the bow wasnt needed. The bow was for Scott "Stringman". Scott is a great kanpper, if you didnt already know that. I wanted him to have the bow either way and I wanted one of his works of art. We worked out a swap. He got the bow and I was given this gorgeous knife. Scott I love it!

Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.

If we can't help each other what is the point of being here?

You will see it next time you see me Darryl. Its just awesome to hold on to and look at. Plus, its very, very sharp. I had to slice paper to prove it to Jacob!

You oughta hear Scott and Iowabow bicker like an old married couple when they are knapping!  Hawhaw!  Kinda reminds me of my parents in their 80's.  Neither one wants to die and give the other the satisfaction of living without the other!

At the end of it all, both understand it drives them to pushing their skills and honing their craft.  And you have proof in your hands.  congrats!
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.
