digicam backing (finished pics added)

Quick question, when backing a bow with fabric do you "size" the fabric too? Or do you just size the bow and put the fabric on?  I got my brothers army digicamo BDUs  and i like the dull color it has, but if i have dry glue on the back itll have a little shine to it.

I used some JoAnn Fabric on a bow.  It was pretty cool, had parallel Aztec designs that were the perfect width for the bow.  I sized the bow but I didn't size the fabric.  Didn't find the need to allow it soak in like you might on wood.  As soon as the cloth touched the bow, the glue soaked in.  Try not to use too much glue.  It will seep through the fabric grain.  It worked very well for me.

If you're not sure how it will turn out, just try a small piece on some scrap wood first.  Some glues will darken the fabric.  For instance, TB3 dries brown.

I reckon that'll work!  Otta blend in nicely while hunting.  I wouldn't forget where you set your bow down in the woods.  You might not ever find it again! Lol!  Josh
