Hi,

On average, for most bows, self or backed... I'd say 20 to 30 hours, start to finish. I probably spend as much time finishing as I do shaping and tillering. I taught a bow making class this past June through Lee Valley Tools, and we alloted 20 hours of class time. Everyone just finished within that time, and we started with a hickory backed osage floor tillered glue up.

The bow should shoot ok. Not the most efficient use of the wood as it seems a bit too whip tillered and will consequently stress the limbs more than needed.
