This is Bob's daughter. My Dad is on his way to Denton and he asked me to reply. Bow received from Charles. He says thanks a lot and he can't wait to get home to open it up. He will post pictures then!

Here is my progress, I have the beaver tail skinned out and dried and will put the grip on this weekend after that I will make a string and it will be ready to ship.  Hopefully It will go out by the following weekend.  I know the weight and max draw is listed but you don't know my recipient could have a shorter draw and I just tillered it out to that length and you don't know if it is RH or LH.  ;)

well it was all going so well after 3 failed attempts. all that was needed was to tie the skins off  with black thread to neaten them up and abit of sanding and finish with tru oil and a handle wrap. i decided to check the tiller and weight after the skins went on i pulled it a few times on the tree and boom the handle and riser pop off. i have fired plenty of arrows through it and nothing, so why it happened on the tiller tree i dnt know. to say im pi@@ed off is an understatement. this trade has been a real challenge on the patience lol. i glued the riser on with epoxy instead of the normal wood glue i usually use could this be the cause?, and also if i re glue is it likely to keep happening? if this bow doesnt make it i aint gona get another made in time, im out of wood and the next 3 weekends are full of stag dos and weddings. heres some pics anyway :-[

Epoxy is no bueno for handles, use tb. I trird using it and the same thing happened. I dont even use epoxy for overlays anymore cuz you can never really get good line.
