My trade bow is finished.... This has been a difficult build for me. It has taken me longer than any other build. I have been fighting my shoulders and this will probably be the last bow I build. I just can't take the shoulder pain anymore. Shooting it in took about 100 pain killers!!!!
Anyway here it is I hope my recipient likes it.
It's a Yew with rings so tight a diamond cutter couldn't chase one. It started with almost 1/2 inch of sap wood so I de-crowned it. It had some twist and a some deflex on one end. I used dry heat and bear fat to move it where I needed it. The bear fat also brought out the rich color of the heart wood. Without giving away anymore spec wise
She is 60 to 66"s 45/60@28 with stripped Ebony tips and a Seal skin strike plate with no rest (easy to add if he so chooses). The string has Alpaca wool silencers that are probably unnecessary but I felt like it. I made up some arrows to send with the bow but the sinew needs a bit more time before I ship.....
Click for Video.... sorry for the poor shooting form but my shoulders are killing me
