Gordan, thanks.  I hope you weren't thinking that I was critizing.  I was just curious, that's all.  :)

I didn't think that at all Dave. It seemed like a reasonable question.

Finaly got to work on mine yesterday and today. Its 60"ttt  8" handle and riser tillered out to 28 for safety. Have at least 100 arrows thru her and its about 1 pound over my victims upper specs at his draw length. Will put on tip overlays tommorrow and then just need to shoot some more and dress her up. Will post more pics when its done.

Badly bent it is a 50" osage. I backed it with paper for now. Just for insurance during tillering. I may add some sinew later. if I can get 4" inches out of it I will be happy.

Looks really nice, Turtle!!

Great looking bows. I would be excited to shoot any that have been shown so far.  I have mine shot in, now just have to bundle it up and send it on its way. I hope the postman is gentle.

I've re-layed out my trade bow.  The last several bows I've built have been pushing the draw limits, weight and width a bit. So, I wanted to be a bit safe on this one.  BUT. 1 3/4 wide, 66" long osage stave for a 26" draw, bendy handle bow it just OVER kill. I"m going to drop it to 60 ntn and 1  1/2 roughed out, probably getting near 1 1/4 after finishing the sanding.

Do you think this stave wil make a bow.  Two rings equal 1/2" and not bad early to late ratio either.

It should be OK if you ant going to heavy, clean looking stave, not wild about the thickness of the early ring but have seen a lot worse. :)
