My son is catching the bow building bug and is itching for one of my staves. I made a deal with him. Since all my staves are in various stages of seasoning, I would challenge him to build a bow unassisted out of the only wood I had dry, ERC. If he could successfully build a shooter without help, I'd give him his pick of my Osage staves. Tall order right? Wrong! Not only did he build it, but he built it in three days after school.
