Well this was my first trip to the  Tenn Classic. I met alot of good knappers and bowyers. Gary Davis helped me make my first bow. Well I was sick all weekend and couldn't talk very well .I made alot of new friends. Thanks Pappy and all of the club members for all of your hard work putting this together. Well I came back to NC with a car full of osage. Well been wanting to do this for a long time. I plan on killing a deer with the bow I made this weekend. Already looking forward to next year. Thanks again Darren Webb

Clint, same here man, shoot me a pm with your address. I got an arrow picked out for you from this past year ready to ship to.

I also got to meet pearlie, Blackhawk, pappy, ridgerunner, beadman, raghorns, Gary Davis, will, Greg b, gun doc, badly bent, misslemaster, pat b, calandergirl, and I know a few others but the moonshine prevents me from remembering.  O:). Im sorry if I left you out. I know mullet was there as well as matt wiriwicki but I never got to introduce myself. There is always next year.
I did get some rock from a trade with will and some buckthorn from Cody and Greg that I'm looking forward to and I think everyone got some wax from pearlies ears. It's just a shame pearlie was afraid of melting in the rain and had to leave before the toilet bowl knap off. Here are the only pics I got to take because my battery was always dead on my phone. Thanks again everyone!

This was my first year at the Classic and I have to say it had to be one of the best weeks of my life. Made a couple bows, shot more than I ever have, forgot SOO many names, knapped for the first time. Just an unreal atmosphere. I still can't believe the camaraderie and generosity this community has. So good to meet many of you guys in person. My bed at home feels amazing but I'd sleep in my car for another week if it meant I could stay. Thanks to everyone working this week. Can't wait for next year! I may have to come down before then.  ;D

And what do I have to say about osage? Bow wood is not a monarchy. IT'S A DEMOCRACY!!!  >:D (as in the people. no, osage can't be president)

I made it home about 8pm tonight. It rained most of the way back and quite hard nearer to home. Over 4" in the last two days here with lots more to come. I'll get my pics uploaded as soon as I can and get the them posted.
It was so good to finally meet the folks with the names I've known for so long but never met. Some many generous folks! Thank you so much Twin Oaks Bowhunters.  We all appreciate all the work you guys do to help us with our habbits and addictions.  ;) You guys are the best and Twin Oaks Club and The Tennessee Classic can't be compared to anything I've ever seen or heard of. Its only 360 or so days until we will all do it again. I can hardly wait.

Well, I made it safely home from my first Classic. I had to cut it a little short, but spent an entire week with the Twin Oaks boys. All I can say is "wow!"  Great bunch of guys. Things got off to a rough start with the Tennessee twister coming through and dumping the hardest rain I've ever seen. I'm talking raindrops as big as horse terds.  It washed out one of the swinging bridges going to the range, but couldn't dampen our spirits. Everyone pitched in, and in short order the bridge was repaired. I had the pleasure of meeting more and more great people as the week went on. The Wirwiki clan (including Weewiki with whom I had great conversations), Bear, Seabass, Osage Outlaw, Blackhawk, Missile Master, Ryan, String Stretcher, Stringman, Gary Davis, JW Halverson, and many others I can't recall. It's good to know that there is still genuine, good people around. I've never experienced as much giving and good times before. I walked away with Buckthorn from Cody, Osage from Outlaw, got hands on training from Blackhawk, a bow grip tutorial from Will H (and CDs), a John Price string and knife, a tour and stay in Pappy's cabin, as well as completing a bow for me and making one for my son. A great experience that I will never forget. Here are a few pics I managed to get.

The generosity was overwelming. I had some unbelievable experineces and none involved a bow in my hand. Its hands down the greatest collection of people in the world. My bro-in-law was in awe and cant wait to go back, and he isnt an archer or bowyer! That should tell you something about us as a comminity and the the Classic itself.

X2 what Pearl drums and Buckeye Guy wrote.  I never strung my bow.  I have been shooting a bow for 60 years and have never been to an event as nice as this one with as many friendly people who did everything they could to help you out.  Next year I will be coming down earlier in the week.

Pappy and crew: You did an outstanding job with the Classic.  Looking forward to Marshall. Grayling and then Michigan's "classic", Elm Hall.
