Wish I was there. Missing all of you. Knowing ur having a blast. Kait was down with the flu all week, parents in town. Just couldn't pull it together this year and really regretting not being there to join in the fun. Have a little spring water for me. Missing y'all. Next year seems like a long way off.

I got home a few hours ago.  It gets better and better each year.  I was able to put a lot more faces with names.  Thanks Pappy and the rest of the club for putting on such a great event.  Thanks everybody for putting up with me for a week.  I only took a few pictures.  I'll try to post them later.

I think we converted Ryoon to the yellow side this week  ;D

This was my best Classic ever.  Of course I said that last year to.  I had so many great experiences.  John helped me make a knife, I got a tour of Pappy's cabin, I got a bow from Matt Wirwicki, hung out with old friends, enjoyed some great music from Will and Mississippi Dave, added some arrows to my collection (thanks Pat, Pappy, Patrick, and John), got to see some great bows made out of some of my staves, enjoyed spending time talking to new friends Burn'em up Chuck, Hole in the Bow Chuck, Brother Dan, David Knight, Kevin, Ryan, Brad Berg, Stringman, Cardboard Duck, Paul, Gothmog and many many more.  Sorry I didn't get to say goodbye to most of you.  I woke up and hit the road early today.

Here are a few pictures

Me and Matt

Ryan smiling because he finally understands why osage is the best

Will entertaining the knappers

Pearly saying "if it was osage it wouldn't have dented and cracked"

The never ending campfire

Blackhawk doing what he does best, tearing into a piece of osage angry beaver style.

Pearly, Ryan, and Paul talking bows with Blackhawk still working on that stave.

Poor, poor Ryan............HAHAHAHAHAHA! What an amazing experience and worth every squirmy minute in the truck seat. It was awesome putting voices with names. Pappys cabin is so full of trinkets and do-dads a guy could look around for hours and hours at all of it. I added an arrow to the collection for him.

THANKS PAPPY!!

I had a great time even though I left friday afternoon... I met a lot of great people from the forum and had the opportunity to watch some great bowyers and knappers at work.

I even had a surprise :) Pearl Drums, Osage Outlaw, and Blackhawk walked up to my tent and threw some osage at me that I can't wait to tear into :) Thanks again guys!!!

We left Saturday morning.  Buddy's tent collapsed on him twice during the night from the rain water and everything he brought got wet.

In the photo of the knapping pit near the top  has me (my back, blue shirt) sitting between bonepile and Patrick Blank (jackcrafty). Man I got to get my fat ass on a diet!!!!

It was a great two days. I met some really great folks, learn a lot and had an overall great time.  This needs to be an annual event.

For those that have never had the privilege of meeting Calendar Girl, she is in the photo above wearing a brown t-shirt and glasses talking to Patrick Blank.

My son Vincent and I just got back a bit ago and are working on drying everything out. What a trip it was. We had a great time meeting everyone and checking out the most awesome assemblage of wooden bows around.  Thanks to everyone who helped put it together. I can't wait until next year. It was nice to finally put faces and voices to screen names as well. That has to be the best part of these events.
