Dude you read my mind! Do you see an advantage to the recurves or is it just asthetics and string angle? Sweet looking bow Chris.

Thanks y'all  :)

Haha Dave...yeah just had to put the king on it cus Ryoon was there,oh n guess what he was working with too? ;)

Yep Greg...saving the best for last ...so when am I gonna see you make something like this with your locust?

Come on Ryan...snap snap...I wanna see that thang all finished up ;)

Jon besides the aesthics n string angle benefits which make it even smoother to draw than a straight lever,it does increase performance in my opinion...BUT you must account for that additional reflex by putting more mass/width in the working limbs to withstand the added stress and still maintain a healthy set in the wood. Another thing I found by curving or reflexing levers is that there is no additional mass in a reflexed lever compared to a straight lever, which was contrary to what I thought I wood have to do if I did so before I started curving my levers. Now how much further can I go before I have to add more mass to them for stability reasons? I don't know? I have been pondering lately trying to go even more of a higher angle. As long as my string tracking is dead center thru each lever and the handle I believe I can actually go pretty far before I wood have to add mass for stability. Might have to add string bridges tho.

Just come on over n pick one out Will :o  8)

Its pretty good locust Bob...I decided to go for such a design first go around so I know what it can take, and how good it is...I'm gonna have to come get another quarter log off ya...I split that one in two and made this one and still have the other one yet

Gonna start a locust bow next Chris, after I finish the two buckthorns I'm on right now. Mine might be that short but I can assure you the design won't be that radical, I know my limitations lol.

Wow!  That is an awesome little bow.  I am on my first BL bow now...  I ain't trying anything like this little baby though - I will be trying something pretty basic,  around 64" long.  How was it to heat and bend?
