Thanks everybody.  Greg, I have only shot it enough to know that I really love the way it shoots, and that it is going to be hard to give away.  48# is a little lighter than I am used to, so I wasn't expecting it to shoot such a quick arrow.

Oughta be a a forgiving accurate shooter...nicely done
Thanks Blackhawk, that is what I was going for.  I am giving it to a longtime friend who rifle hunts but has shown interest in bowhunting.  It is a late wedding present.  His wife is actually excited about archery too.  Anyway, that is why it is a bit overbuilt and a little light on the draw.

Thanks Cedrik.  I really enjoyed your spindle fire starting videos on youtube.

Thanks Ryan, I definitely like how the white on white overlays came out.  I think I will do that again, good luck with yours.

Matt, I am sure you could.  Keep after it and get that first bow of yours flinging some arrows!

Thanks Gabe. Mine is definitely lacking some curves compared to your little yew hottie.  ;)

Thanks Keenan, means a lot coming from a guy who really knows fish skins.

Thanks Steve and Coaster.  I just put a few more arrows through it. It likes these 28" 50-55# with 145 gr points.  It is sweet to shoot.  I wanted to sink the archery hook in my buddies lip, and I think this will do the trick.

I added a fish vertebrate bead and finally wrote on the bow.  You can see the hesitation to write on the beautiful yew belly wood in my cursive writing.  :o  Starting things off with a cursive capitol Z didn't help.  ::)  Does anybody know how to write those?

Wow.  I like the finishing touches.  The fish skin is so nicely done and I'm embarrased to say I wish I could lace up a handle like that.

I knew I gave that stave to the right guy!  ;) Got to hold this bow and some of the others that Carson built at the Traditional Archers of Oregon annual banquet last Saturday....it was hard to let it go! haha  Absolutely love the design on that yew bow! You do beautiful work Carson.

Great finishing touches Carson. I feel the same way about writing on bows. I know the importance but my penmanship is lacking and getting nervous never helps. ::)

Thanks Snag and Keenan.  I had to borrow the bow back for display at the TAO banquet. It was hard to drop it back off at the new owners at the end of the night.   :'(  I will have to make you a bow with the next perfect yew stave you give to me Snag!  ;)
