Just started here. Just finished my first selfbow. Red oak mollegabet design. It came pretty good. A little bit of twist in the working limbs but not.enough to throw the string off center. My bow came really light on the draw weight 30# and under by estimation. I.decided to back the working limbs with fiber glass tape.and.went along to do.the belly as well. I.figured this would strengthen the bow some what and prevent.any shattering if it breaks.
My real.question here is. A silly one i know but. If.i were to.finish the bow.with a polycrylic and really layered it on like 50 thin layers or more could thay make the bow.stronger? By draw weight that is.
