Doggone it!  i was off hunting the whole week when you posted this one, so I am chiming in late!  Awesome bow, blackhawk.  I have been eyeing a couple of hophornbeam trees, but have never worked with it before.  It must be awesome bow wood.  That one was so yellow, I had to do a double take!  Really nice bow.

Yup bub...he came after the great joe montana..who was better ..lol :laugh:

And I just found myself playing with secondstring woods again and just finish tillered n shot in a dogwood,and I didn't stop there..I tillered a black locust ready for a string....yeeeeesh...someone give me some osage..I'm gonna have to make several yeller sticks after this poor mans bow wood stint  :laugh:

Thanks simson ..eastern hophornbeam is a very strong and elastic wood...I'd say its one of the most elastic whitewoods,if not the most imho
