Today is the aniversary,of the day Ishi came to the modern world and started many on the Road to primitive skills.Here is an account,by AD Kessler who was there that day.The rest of the film,is not exactly accurate,but fun to watch anyway.

Ironically,
My Grandad Knew Mr Kessler,who brought Ishi,into "Civilization"and i know a guy who repatriated Ishis Remains,to bring them back to the "Wild".

Richard Burrill has done a lot of Ishi research and written a few books It would have been nice to have a few moments with those "old" people - just for a bit of their knowledge.

Richard interviewed my Grandad,years ago,in his research.
Your Cousin Ferrel,was present when some of Ishis songs were translated by some elders,there in Greenville.They were Mountain Maidu and some were upset,that Ishi sang the songs to be recorded,as they were Doctor songs.
