The way the picture was taken really shows the true colors and craftsmanship of the points with the black background and the way the light hits each point showing the hafting in the notches you could look at them and see something different everytime.

I have a question. When fastened to arrows, it looks as if that is siniew, so does the sinew shrink as it dries thus holding the arrowhead rocksolid(pun intended  ) on the arrow?

YEah, sinew holds points on very securely.  In fact, based on my experience, sinew is superior to just about any modern string or thread, due to the fact that it shrinks as it dries.  It also becomes very thin.  So thin that it leaves no abrupt surface to slow penetration.  Use some pine sap glue to secure the point, then wrap over it with sinew and you will be amazed at just how strong that primitive glue and binding really is.  I've shot arrows like that through deer and the stone point is still mounted as though I had used modern epoxy. 

I don't like or use fake sinew for wrapping stone points onto any of my arrows...it just doesn't hold nearly as well as real sinew....

Thanks guys for the kind words.  Actually those are my pretty ones and they stay in my case.  Like I said in my article a while back, I usually make the ugly, rough ones because those are the ones I hunt with.  The ugly ones I hate, so I just shoot them at the first target of opportunity, hoping to smash them into pieces so I can get rid of them and put a new one on.  you should try that....using ugly points when you hunt.  I'll bet ya dollars to doughnuts that you actually kill more animals that way!!  It sure worked for me....
