dead standing walnut #3
« on: August 02, 2012, 07:16:18 pm »
This is my third one out of the dsw 68"ttt 47#@28" backed with linen i got in a trade with Ifrit617
Covered with wdb the tips are overlays from white tail antler the owner of the bow shot and the handle wrap is hide from the same deer ...coverd the transition with turkey feathers similar to gstoneburg ;) ...trying to burn out my walnut fix but i need at least a couple mlre before i hone in on the one im looking for...feel free to point out areas i could improve on

Nicely done!  I think walnut is the best looking wood of all, and you certainly did it justice!

Nice!!! That tail feather looks great. I borrowed the idea from somebody else's bow :) Walnut is such pretty wood.  Good work.

Nice job Soy. Like the free form shape on those tip overlays and the way you wrapped the skins onto the sides of the handle. Fine craftmanship shows and that bow is a good example of it. Very nice.
