Well this past weekend my brotherinlaw took me and my dad snapper fishing out of galvaston we went 36 miles out to a platform it turned out to be a great day the two big ones were 15 lbs the water was about 100ft deep i hooked the two fattys they hooked the rest

Man your getting me all excited about ocean fishing again. I was a fish-o-holic up here, then I went to the Keys and found out what fishing is really like. I haven touched my rods 6 times in two years.......crazy.

I was wanting to skin the sharks but my brotherinlaw sliced shark stakes instead
maybe next time but indie keep the snapper skins

Nice catch! Red Snapper season opened here this past weekend. If my brother in law had a boat like that we'd be joined at the hip. Especially if he paid for the fuel.

Cool- that's what I miss most about living on the coast. I'm heading out salmon fishing on lake michigan on Friday and won't enjoy my catch nearly as much as anything coming out of the Gulf.

Yea, Jeff; there's a big difference from that smell of saltwater when the Tides running at day break and freshwater. And, the seagulls sound different, too.
