Pet store sinew?
« on: May 20, 2012, 09:22:46 pm »
Stopped by the pet store the other day and they have Bison sinew both leg tendon and back strap.  It's cut in to pieces about 8" long for the back strap.  the leg is  cork screw shape.  It looks like there are bits of meat still on it and it's all dark brown.  I don't know if it's cooked or got some flavor coating on it or what.  Anyone work with this?

I personally don't thin it's worth the extra hassle - just goto somewhere where they butcher game animals.

I use to get raw steer sinew alot at one time. Did a couple bows buy mainly used it for hafting . Because of the leanth.  But never used the ones processed for dog treats.
