New side/stalker style quiver!!!
« on: April 17, 2012, 08:12:16 pm »
Hey everyone,

I just finished up one of my spring projects today.. It is a side/stalker style quiver based loosely on quivers made by Cameroo and Pat B... Leather came from Bowtarist.. Not quite sure what the dimensions are but I have the template still if anybody is interested.. The bottom is a removable plug.. artificial sinew trim and antler and turkey feather tassel for some good mojo.  ;D ;D
I like it quite a bit.. Tell me what y'all think..

Jon

P.S. Sorry for the scruffy mug.. I need a haircut..  ;D ;D

Looks good. I use one like that.

i think you did an amazing job on that, and i don't know about scruffy, my hair was long enough for a ponytail at your age , Bub

You did a great job on your side stalker. I use one for 3D and target shooting. Actually I'm still using the original prototype of the others I've made. A piece of 2" thick foam glued to the plug will hold your arrows so they don't rattle and will hold broadheads safely and keep them sharp.

At your age I had a 24" afro!  Lemme tell you, a skinny white kid in a white leisure suit with a orange afro looks like a used Q-tip!  But I was stylin' at Prom!

The side quiver looks a little too professional, we may need to remove this thread and ban you (right Cameroooo?)  You are making the rest of us look bad.

The quiver not only looks professional, but it looks very functional too.  You oughta get a lot of years of use out of that baby!  I like the simplicity of the finish work, nothing showy or gaudy.  Good work, keep it up!

Quiver looks great!! But why do you look so angry?

That's a nice looking functional quiver. I owned a Bowers similar to that at one time and don't know why I ever sold it. You just got me motivated to make one for myself. I've got an old friend that owns a saddle shop about 20 miles away if I take the back roads thru the hills. Guess I'm going to have to pay him a visit.
I found many years ago that it is much easier and more rewarding working with those that don't know anything than those that know it all.

Hahaha As for the serious face... I had the camera sitting on my deck to use the timer and the sun was almost directly in my face, so its all scrunched up... :) :)
