What's going on fellas? I'm all excited, I finally decided to get the YouTube thing going. I gotta say it's pretty fun. I'm youtube name is DudeitsthatguyFL. Anyhow, here is a bow that I made for a fella who wanted a Cheyenne bow. It follows dimensions I took from the Hamm/Allely Encyclopedia, so it's 47" ntn and made of Ironwood. Now, I can't say for sure that they used ironwood for bows, but it apparently does grow natively in Eastern Wyoming. Gotta thank Eddie for hooking me up with the stave. This was a small side split that I wasn't even planning on making a bow from, so I figured this would be a test. Turned out fine for a test. It's about 48#@24". Back dyed crimson. Wrapped the handle area and reinforced a spot that I didn't like, but it seems to be healthy. I'd go slightly wider next time, but like I said, it started as an experiment. Enjoy!
